Wests are chambered Easts with a top on them. Yeah, except it’s just not that simple, but you knew that already. Sure, removing material from the body reduces weight, but it also changes the resonance and timbre of the wood. And those changes are what the West is built around. With its thicker body and carefully shaped chamber, the West provides a complex and detailed tone, with a softer attack and fundamental. Overtones tend to meld into a cohesive unit that separates the West from every other guitar. A unique voice that loves clean and mid-gain applications.
