A 24-9/16” scale length is where the Magpie excels, with its 22 frets and slightly overwound bridge pickup. Snarl and clarity – be sure to listen for those overtones – then back off the volume for a clean tone to die for. Perfect fat tones in the neck position thanks to that under-wound Cardinal Hb. Woods? So many have worked beautifully over the years, and I’m now using my favorites.
